Homeowners Pump & Alarm Check List

Should the following occur:
1. Alarm is going off
2. Water is backed up into the house.
3. Water is running on top of the ground around tank lid.

Do the following:
1. Check circuit breakers that service pump. Flip the breakers off then back on again. If one of the breakers trips off again, leave it off and call a certified technician.

2. If receptical is equipt has GFI, push reset button.

3. If a 'piggyback' float is currently installed, disconnect it from the receptacle and then disconnect the pump from the float switch. Plug the pump directly into the receptacle to see if it will function. You can determine this by the water level dropping in the tank.

Should the water level remain the same after approximately fifteen (15) minutes disconnect the pump from the receptacle.

If the water level drops, leave the pump plugged in ONLY long enough to pump out the necessary amount of water. UNPLUG THE PUMP. Do not leave the pump plugged in as the pump will not shut itself off and will burn up. Call a certified technician for service.

Piggy-Back Plug Install
* Electrical outlet must not be located in pump chamber.
